Kenny Chesney won "Entertainer of the Year" on the eve of the 40th annual Academy of Country Music Awards. All the reporters wanted to know about was his wedding.

Backstage after he received his monumental award, the questions were flying fast and furious - not about how he felt about receiving the honor, but about his recent wedding.

He responded to the question "How is married life?" with "To be honest with you, it's not that different. I'm a little more at ease, you know? I'm not searching and that's what's great about her. She's a great girl."

On the proposal - "She just told me to name a time and a place and she'd be there."

Strangely, he commented that Renee was not at the awards ceremony because of her upcoming movie release, but she was spotted by reporters at an after-party.

On his honeymoon - "We did our honeymoon in Little Rock at a show. I had to go back on the road, so we went to Little Rock, Oklahoma City, Dallas, and San Antonio. And then I flew here. So it wasn't that great of a honeymoon."

The funniest comment on the wedding came from Tim McGraw: "I thought he was gay for the longest time! This surprised the hell out of me!" - The comment was obviously meant to be taken as a joke from his tone, and not mean spirited in any way.

Kenny Chesney's publicist actually had to ask reporters for a few questions about the award, since all anybody wanted to ask about was the wedding. The reporters responded with questions like "How will you celebrate the award with your new wife?" On the one hand, it's terrible that such an achievement would be overshadowed by another news event. On the other, there isn't anything more important than a wedding.
