This plugin was noted to be tested with MovableType 3.x. As of today, I'm running 3.15 and as it turns out, this functionality is already built in.
I wouldn't consider this a waste of time. Perhaps the functionality is a little different than the current out of the box solution. From what I read from the author's site, it looks to offer pretty much the same functionality though.
The authors site makes it look like everybody loved it, so it was probably incorporated into the main code when everybody made noise about it.
