Hurricane Ophelia shut down a few resorts in North Carolina earlier this week. It was bad enough that the phones went out for a while.

Luckily, the storm has moved on just in time for the weekend, leaving behind nicer than expected weather and very little damage that couldn't be immediately repaired.

"It all worked out fine" said the general manager of the Royal Pavillion resort. "The almost newlyweds needn't worry".

The hurricane created problems for vacationers and beach-goers during the week, but it does not seem to have had much of an effect on weekend plans.

We're happy to hear that hotels in the area are remaining busy for the weekend, and with Ophelia leaving minimal damage in it's wake all of the scheduled weddings are still on track.
