The buzz is abound that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are putting their wedding on hold. According to an upcoming issue of Life and Style Weekly, Tom has decided to take the opportunity this new year to mend fences with the Katie's family. Apparently, it did not go so well.
The couple ended up leaving three days earlier than planned, and according to an unnamed friend of Tom Cruise - "Katie was in tears, but that's standard when it comes to dealing with family matters and Tom."
A spokesperson for Tom Cruise has officially denied the story, but this is one of many reports abound about the couple having problems. And it certainly isn't the first report that Katie's father is not thrilled with the prospect of a wedding.
One has to imagine that the rush of negative publicity surrounding Tom Cruise - from criticism of his antics on the Oprah Winfrey show to his much too public support of the Scientology lifestyle - have not done wonders for Tom's relationship with Katie's family.
