Carnival Cruise Lines is offering a wide variety ofaffordable and convenient wedding packages for couples seeking to tie the knot aboard the new 88,500-ton Carnival Miracle, the line's newest "Fun Ship" set which entered service from Jacksonville, Florida in February 2004. The ship features an intimate and elegant on-board wedding chapel - an ideal venue for couples to exchange vows.
Wedding packages offer a ceremony aboard ship during embarkation day or at various on-island locations, and complement the line's existing fleetwide wedding program, which attracted some 2,200 couples in 2004. The Chapel aboard Carnival Miracle features stained-glass windows and Old Testament scenes, along with a central aisle leading to the stage and a private dressing area for the bride. The Gothic-style facility serves as the venue for weddings held during embarkation day while the ship is docked at Jacksonville.
The wedding packages will also be available at the ship's three other homeports - Baltimore, New York and Tampa.
The "Just for the Bride & Groom" package starts at $750 and includes an official civil ceremony, a champagne toast with keepsake flutes, flowers for both bride and groom, a wedding cake with cake topper, pre-recorded wedding music, a decorated bridal aisle and photographic services.
The "Welcome Aboard" package begins at $1,350 and offers all the amenities of "Just for the Bride & Groom," as well as a reception with one-hour open bar and hot-and-cold hors d'oeuvres, a traditional two-tiered wedding cake and coffee service.
Couples may also select the "Deluxe Romance" package, which starts at $1,450 and includes a one-and-a-half hour reception and an ice carving, as well as all the features of the other programs.
A wide variety of options such as videography services, live music and tuxedo rental are also available at additional cost.
Shoreside ceremonies featuring a romantic tropical setting will also be available in Key West, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.
