12 Million Dollar Wedding Dress

This evening, BKWeddings was given an incredible opportunity. We were invited to a sneak preview of the most expensive wedding dress ever made. Renee Strausse, owner of Renee Strausse for the Bride, worked together with Martin Katz Jewelers to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that truly has to be seen to be believed. We are excited to provide a unique photo gallery of the preview event, which was held on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California at an incredible gallery called Lladro.

Renee's quote for the evening: "After 20 years of creating Wedding Gowns for heiresses and princesses - this gown is truly fit for a queen."

The wedding gown includes diamonds which are priceless in value and exclusive in application and design. The 12 million dollar dress is being showcased at a Bridal Show on February 26th at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina Del Ray, California. The first 600 Brides who attend the event will be given a gift basket containing $2000.00 worth of goodies, including a $1000.00 gift certificate for plastic surgery. The event will feature 51 of the finest Bridal Specialists in the industry and is being hosted by both "Weddings in the Grand Tradition" and the "Beverly Hills Courier." The bridal show will also include a runway fashion show featuring 50 of the most incredible wedding gowns from Europe and adding to the excitement will be another runway show put on by La Perla Lingerie.

This event is not your average bridal show. This show will present the most respected and experienced bridal professionals, services, and retailers all together iin an atmosphere showered in elegance that will truly make the bride and groom feel both special and at ease in planning their most important day. This will absolutely be one of the most glittering Bridal Fashion Events ever staged, and a one stop dream shopping event for the bride.

BKWeddings will be attending the event on the 26th, and will be publishing even more photos. For now, we have just over 30 photographs from the preview event, and while they are stunning, they simply do not do justice to this elegant artwork.

Model Lisa Harrington of Orange County, California (working through L.A. Models), discovered only hours beforehand that she was selected to model this wedding dress. When asked what it felt like to wear the dress, she flashed a huge smile, and responded with an honest "It's AMAZING." After searching for another way to describe what she was feeling, she simply re-iterated "It's amazing, It truly is amazing. I don't know how else you could describe it."

The dress itself is sprinkled with diamonds throughout, and Lisa was sparkling all over when she wasn't even moving. Still pictures really do not do this dress justice. But before we go any further, allow me to set the tone of the evening. The preview event was held at Lladro, a gallery of fine arts on Rodeo Drive. Here are some samples of their wares:

The gallery itself was impressive, with a splitting grand staircase that must be seen to be appreciated. Even with a wide angle lense, it was difficult to capture the entire setting:

At one table was a sample fo the gift baskets they will be giving away at the bridal show. At another was a beautiful cake put together by "Jamaica's Cakes" in Los angeles. On the second level, a band played elegant music for the occasion. Another featured an incredible centerpiece.

All of this elegance was combined with fine wine and champaigne, chocolates, cake, a smattering of floral accoutrements, cookies, and hor d'ouvres. At last, Lisa Harrington came onto the scene as elegant as could be. She paused for photos at the peak of the picturesque staircasing and allowed the world their first glimpse of the most expensive dress ever created.
