Weddings are getting more and more expensive. It doesn't help that a tradition has crept up recently that means you will need more than one dress on your wedding day.

Most likely, on your wedding day, you will be wearing your wedding dress, and a separate dress for the reception. One that is a little more comfortable, and maybe just a little bit easier to dance in.

Christos Yiannakou has been designing wedding dresses for over 35 years. He describes his line-up as elegant, understated, and fashionable. Softness, tradition, and romance are the underlying themes that he puts to work in his line of wedding gowns.

His dresses are on the expensive side, but the reason for the cost is quite obvious, even without considering that Christos himself maintains such close control over the design and preparation of his dresses. It's hard not to feel like a princess in one of Christos' gowns.

Davince Bridal (not to be confused with David's Bridal) sees themselves as an alternative to national chain-store gowns. Their styles are comparable to many dresses that are sold off-the-rack, but their business model allows for a higher quality dress.

They have wedding dresses available for viewing and trying on at retailers around the country, but the dresses sold to brides are shipped within a week directly to the brides rather than allowing the retailers to sell the dresses directly. This prevents a bride from going home with a gown that has been soiled, stained, or frayed from use in the dressing room.
