Wedding Planner gets to Makeover Richmond

Mayor L. Douglas Wilder has tapped "Tommie" Binga as the executive director of a new volunteer board created to provide a unified vision and lead the charge to spiff up River City.
Binga has been on the boards of the Richmond Ballet, the Arts Council, the Black History Museum, the Virginia Commission on Youth and the Virginia Treatment Center for Children, among many others.
She coordinated the wedding of Wilder's daughter Loren. She planned Wilder's inaugural gala this year, with plenty of help.
