falling away, and everyting new is coming swiftly into being, I Lisa,
choose you, Chris, to be my companion, my love, and my husband (wife for
Chris).

I pledge my heart and the unfolding of my life to you and I ask you to
stand at my side at the turn of very corner, in the midst of each unveiling.

It is you to whom I have come for comfort in the past, you from whom I
shall ask for solace in the future. It is you who have held me yp, you
whom I now ask to hold me and enfold me in the long tommorow.

I ask for you care and comfort and love.
I ask for your wisdom and truth.
I ask for your patience and kindness.
I ask you to listen to me, to allow me to bring all my sorrows to you, my
confusion, and my tribulations.

I ask you to share in my joys, to clelebrate my victories, to rejoice in
all my achievements, and never rain on my parade.
I ask you to measure your words, to peak to me thoughtfully, with care,
in consciousness, knowing the power of words to wound.

I dring you my body as a fine gift, I ask you to honour it, to nurture it
with your love, to enjoy my essence, my spirity, which deeply resides
withing it, to love me still as it ages, to allow me to honour you, also,
in every gracious way with it.

I ask you to bring your deep spirit to this marriage, your willingess to
walk to path of surrender, of spiritual seeking and finding.

I choose to make my whole life with you, Chris, becuase you are th man I
adore, the geing above all others who has been sent here to be a gift to
me, to be now and always my love.

Secular Vow Commentary

I think you mean secular, which means non-religious (not non-secular, which I guess means religious).

I'm confused. Secular means things of this earthly world or not spiritual, therefore not religious. It can also mean not belonging to a particular religious order. A local parish priest is secular if he is not a Jesuit priest, for example.

So does non-secular mean not of this world? Are these religious vows?

I ask for you care and comfort and love.
I ask for your wisdom and truth.
I ask for your patience and kindness.
I ask you to listen to me, to allow me to bring all my sorrows to you, my
confusion, and my tribulations.

now that is almost perfect :)
