An American soldier renews wedding vows with wife after returning home.
U.S. Army Sgt. Joel Sauceda kept his promise to his bride: that they would have a real wedding when he returned from duty in Iraq.
Leticia Sauceda's dreams came true this past Saturday as she walked down the aisle in her white dress and veil, carrying a long train and a bouquet of red roses.
Her Brother Manuel escorted her down the aisle - all the while Leticia trying to hold back those inevitable tears. At the altar the couple renewed the same vows they first pronounced on January 25th, 1991 in a small ceremony before the justice of the peace - which was just before the beginning of Operation Desert Storm. The groom, Joel Suceda, was shipped out for that war as well, and the ceremony was held in haste so that it could take place before he put himself in harms way for his country.
Present at this ceremony were the couples four children.
Leticia and Joel are each other's first girlfriend and boyfriend. They parted ways briefly when Joel's military service sent him away to Germany in the mid 1980's, but their hearts kept them close in spirit. They reunited years later when Joel returned home and their relationship flourished. In another four years, Sgt. Sauceda can retire from the army, and for now he will stay at home in the states serving as a training officer.
They will take their honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.

being in the Army, I have always found it odd to see where people have the time to have so many kids.
4 is a lot in my books.
Glad to see them happy i guess.
