Not to be outdone by Red Sox Fans, a couple in chicago has put together another elaborate baseball themed wedding. The maid of honor will be wearing a baseball jersey, and the wedding cake will be shaped like a baseball.
On Saturday, Michelle Delaquila will marry Scott Langlie just before the White Sox play host to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ironically, husband-to-be Scott is a Cubs fan. They will have their first kiss on the center field fan deck about two hours before gametime.
Then the plan is to change and get ready for the game as with their 65 other guests and 40,000 screaming fans join in on the wedding reception.
Scott agreed to get married at Sox park because aside from his love for the Cubs, he and his family have always enjoyed the game of baseball, regardless of who is playing.
The wedding guests all get club level seats near third base and can order anything on the menu.
The couple met at a little league game, appropriately of a team named the White Sox that hubby coaches. Michelle's stepson plays on the team.
