I saw this wedding article on the BBC site(which is the British version of NPR), and it talks about questions you should ask yourself before getting married to figure out if you should. BBC - Relationships - Couples - Why marry?
The wedding article lists out good reasons and bad reasons to get married. Also, the article talks about normal fears and expectations.
Under the normal fears and expectations about weddings section there is a link, BBC - Relationships - Couples - Marriage fears and expectations, to an exercise you can do that will help you and your significant other talk about everything. You can always try it on your own before trying it with your significant other. Always remember, the more you talk about marriage before the wedding the more likely the marriage will last long after the wedding.
