Zales - has sealed a deal with The Knot. This is a big win for the Zales corporation because millions of brides to be will no longer be exposed to alternative retailers on one of the most popular wedding web sites.
The program is set to launch in mid-October 2005.
"We are thrilled to team up with Zale Corporation on an exclusive marketing alliance that connects its powerful jewelry brands to our loyal audience of brides and grooms who are in the market for bridal luxury goods. We look forward to launching Zale's program which promises to deliver topnotch service and trends to our users online, offline and through our broadcast vehicles on The Knot.com," says David Liu, Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of The Knot, Inc.
When I think of Zales, I think of the $99 diamond earings that go on sale every couple of months - not exactly the highest quality merchandise. Fortunately for visitors of The Knot, The Zales Corporation actually runs several jewelry resources across various price points - like Gordon's Jewelers and Bailey Banks & Biddle.
The terms of the agreement specify that Zales will have exclusive promotional activities on The Knot web site via banners, product placement in articles, and in their ring search tool. The will also be advertised in The Knot's email lists, will have inserts in The Knot magazines.
