Renee Zellweger married country music singer Kenny Chesney Monday on a St. John's resort in the US Virgin Islands. The two met in January at a charity function supporting the tsunami relief effort.
Renee was once engaged to actor Jim Carrey, but they broke up prior to the big event. Kenny Chesney has a similar story - engaged once before, but never married.
Monday night's reception was being held at Peter Bay, an affluent gated community on the north shore of the island, residents said. The couple and about 45 guests gathered Sunday night at Rhumb Lines restaurant in downtown Cruz Bay, the main town on the island, according to restaurant employees.
Renee Zellweger wore a Caroline Herrerra wedding dress for her beach wedding. Zellweger is a long time Herrerra supporter. Here are a couple of photos of Renee at the oscars in Herrerra gowns:

It is fitting that Bridget Jones would eventually marry the singer of the hit song "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" This week's People magazine quoted Zelwegger's publicist as stating that the couple was "in the very early stages of getting to know each other". No time for a honeymoon with Chesney's upcoming concert schedule, but they did get married in an island paradise.

I know! These celebrities do that kind of a thing all the time. Makes you wonder what goes on out there in California. Down here in the South, you meet a man, he courts you, you fall in love, and THEN you get married. It takes time. Usually years. Renee Zellweger has to know that this wedding is doomed like all other celebrity weddings. Probably just doing it to keep her over plasticized face in the news.

Personally, I don't like her and I don't see it lasting. Pregnancy could be the case, but what does he see in her? I just don't understand the whole Renee Zellweger craze... and what is up with her hair in the photo from the wedding? You would think she'd actually do her hair for her wedding. And I would hate to see Chesney change his style, music, or anything about himself because of her. I just don't know about those two being together... it doesn't seem right.

When you have been with enough wrong guys you just know when the right one comes along. My friend met her husband 4 months prior to him proposing. Granted that had to wait another 9 months to get married, but they are celebrities who can get things when they want them.:-)

I think that it is great that they got married, and for those of you that have aproblem with them getting married are you jelous??? I think its too bad that people must degrade people who they dont even know, seems those people certainly have problems of thier own they cannot deal with. Imagine what it would be like being followed all the time by the paparazzi and everyone tring to dig into your personal life so they can make a story about you...

I think it is absolutely AWESOME!! I do not think she is a hollywood bimbo or anything else that so many people like to call her, I believe she is a nice girl with morals and a great career. As for Kenny, I could never say enough GREAT things about him!!! LUV HIM!! And it looks like a perfect match- more power and love to them! Besides, all of you who disagree, do you think they care???? They are happy and in love, and that's what counts. I would have married my guy after 3 months, but I wasn't old enough, and 7 years later- we are still in love and VERY HAPPY!

If they are truly in love then I am happy for them. I just think that this whole thing is really weird. This wedding came out of no where! Ok so they met in January, it just seems to me that when you decide to be either an actor or a country singer, you make choices. Those choices are that you take things slow, because you have people (fans) who are your supporters. Whether their opinion matters or not is not important in the whole realm of things, but those people make or break you. Sure they deserve some privacy, but it would have been nice if the world had any idea that they were interested in eachother before the wedding. From everyone that I have heard talk about it, these two together just seem completely wacked!

I have no idea what the big fuss is all about. If they were two regular people with regular jobs and a regular income no one would care one way or the other. I met my man and within a month we were living together and we are today and very content and happy. I wish both Kenny and Renee all the happiness and blessings in the world.

I met Kenny 2 years ago through Make A Wish Foundation and I see exactly what Renee sees in him, he's the hottest thing alive!! Not to mention being the sweetest man I've ever met in my entire life, but, given the fact that they only met five months ago and because they both have an outragiously busy schedule, I have to say I seriously doubt it will last. Kenny has said a million times all he has time for is work, and I think he is going to realize that. Plus I did read somewhere Renee still has feelings for her ex, so we'll just see how this goes.

I am the most jealous person alive. I am Kenny's #1 fan. I am going to see him this Friday the 25th in Columbus, and I cannot wait. I saw him last summer and it was the best day of my life. Frankly, after 6 weeks of meeting my husband, I KNEW he was the one and so did he. We moved in together a month later and got engaged 3 months after that, so it does NOT take "years" - it's either love or it isn't. It also should not be "work"...relationships take a bit of management, but ultimately, love is the core. I've loved him more every day since, and after 8 years, am about to give birth to our first child. Couldn't be happier for Kenny & Renee!

WOW so much hatred on this site about people you have never met??? The posts above dont make me question his sanity, my parents knew each other 3 months and were married, she was not pregnant, and yet they were wonderfully happy until the day my mother died some 35 years later. There is a such thing as love at first sight. Too many people are just too jaded and skeptical to believe it exists but it does, so personally I am happy and hopeful that what they found is real.

Well, That marrige didn't last. I'm pretty happy, I didn't think they looked good together. I think He can so soo much better! i don't really like renee. i think the whole thing about them getting married in the first place was a bad idea. i knew it wasn't going to last very long, with him on the road, and her in movie business. they were bound to get a divorce sooner or later, we all knew that. i really hope they don't get back together, because i don't think they are the right couple for each other. kenny needs to marry a singer and renee needs to marry a movie star. that would be perfect matches to me. that's my opinion on the whole Zellweger Chesney wedding comments. see ya later.
